Due to the rapid rise of Mayorkun under the tutelage of Davido at Davido Music Worldwide(DMW), he has risen from strengths to strengths with many hits to point at Mama, Sade, Che Che has followed the massively successful first single ‘Eleko’.
Under a year in the industry, his stock has risen up to the level that he’s no match to musicians who joined the industry at the same time as him.
Nonetheless, there are still some tiers of the music industry he’s still to reach, The Koko Master and 2baba tier, the Davido, Wizkid, Olamide Level.
He’s also considered not up to the Patoranking, Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Tekno, Runtown’s height, but taking the level down little bit, some would argue about him being in the same category as the likes of controversial 2015 Headies Awards’ Next Rated nominees namely, Kiss Daniel, Reekardo Banks, Lil Kesh and Korede Bello.
Considering the feats of these 4 talented music acts over the years with each having there own album and some working on their second studio album and certainly, Mayorkun is about to be nominated for the award the got nominated for 3 years ago, it could be considered an insult to them.
