Man Impregnates, Weds Teenage Sister In Anambra Church
Just like a fairy tale, a 25-year-old man, Mr. Chiadi Ezeibekwe, said he impregnated his 17-year-old younger sister.
As if that was not enough, he wedded her at a church at their Agba village in Ekwulobia, Anambra State. Agba youths, who saw the marriage as “an abomination,” burnt down the church where the wedding was consummated.
It was learnt that the wedding was conducted by Chiadi’s elder brother, Mr. Chijioke Ezeibekwe, a Shepherd of Dwelling Fullness of God Church, Agba. Chiadi quoted Deuteronomy 36: 6, which, according to him, permits marriage between brothers and ssters of the same parents.
However, a member of the church, who spoke on condition of anonymity, countered that. He referred the brothers to Leviticus 18:9, which clearly speaks against marriage between brother and sister.
A source noted that immediately their eldest brother, Mr. Emeka Ezeibekwe, heard of the “incestuous marriage,” he alerted the clan head, who summoned the family to an emergency meeting.
When their father, popularly, known as “Luisco,” was contacted for comments, he said that his concern was a way out of the situation, since according to him, “what has happened, has happened’’.

FA CUP QUARTER FINAL
Manchester United will play Brighton in the FA Cup quarter-finals, in a repeat of the 1983 final.
The winner of Tottenham’s match at Rochdale on Sunday will meet Sheffield Wednesday or Swansea, who will go to a replay after Saturday’s 0-0 draw.
Southampton travel to the winners of Monday’s match between Manchester City and Wigan, while Leicester and Chelsea meet in another all Premier League tie.
The ties take place from 16-19 March.
Rochdale, the lowest ranked team left in the competition, are bottom of League One. They play at home to Tottenham on Sunday, a 16:00 GMT kick-off that will be broadcast live on BBC One.
Wigan, second in League One, play Manchester City on Monday (19:55 GMT). That match will also be broadcast live on BBC One.

Range Rover 2018 worth 51million seized by the custom from a smuggler
Officers of the Ogun State Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has recovered a 2018 model Range Rover SUV in a forest in Ifo Local Government Area after it was abandoned by smugglers during a chase by the customs officer.
In just a period of two weeks the Command has seized a total number of 13 smuggled vehicles.
The Controller of the command, Sani Madugu, said this on Thursday at the Idiroko border while briefing journalists about the seizures made in the area within the period under review.
He said the SUV, which he described as ‘the seizure of the month’, has a total duty payable value of N51.2m.
Madugu said the operatives of the command intercepted the jeep along one of the smugglers’ routes around Ifo in Ifo Local Government Area of the state.
He said the smugglers abandoned the vehicle and fled when they realised the Customs operatives had already closed in on them.
He explained that the jeep has a keyless entry, accessible only through a remote control mode. Madugu said on sighting Customs operatives the smugglers abandoned the vehicle and ran into the forest.
“This is the seizure of the month. This keyless entry vehicle has a duty payable value of N51.2m,” he said. Apart from the 13 impounded vehicles, there are other seizures made from smugglers within the period and they are 1,168 bags of 50kg foreign rice, 221 kegs of vegetable oil, five sacks of second-hand shoes, and two sacks of second-hand bags” he said
He added that 12 additional vehicles and 21 motorcycles used as means of conveyance of the bags of rice were also seized. The Customs boss put the combined duty payable value of all the seizures at N153.86m.
Speaking on the attack on one of the operatives of the Federal Operations Unit, serving in Idiroko border, who was attacked with machete last week by smugglers, he warned that the command would not relent in its efforts to curb smuggling in the state.
He said:
“We will continue to make seizures. We will not fold our arms while the smugglers kill or maime our operatives.
“I want to appeal to traditional rulers and other well-meaning elders in the state to talk to those involved in smuggling to look for other legitimate means of livelihood.”

Ryan Mason forced to be retired
Hull midfielder, Ryan Mason, has announced his retirement from professional football, due to a head injury he suffered in January 2017.
Mason suffered a fractured skull in a collision with Chelsea defender, Gary Cahill, during a game at Stamford Bridge last year.
He has not been allowed to play ever since.
Mason made a total of 69 Premier League appearances after breaking into the first team at Tottenham in 2014, before signing for Hull two years later.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), has disclosed that about 1.6 million registration documents for the 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) have so far been sold with two days to end the exercise.
The board’s head, media and information, Fabian Benjamin, made the disclosure on Friday in Lagos.
Benjamin told NAN that this year’s registration for the examination had proven to be one of the best in recent times.
“As at the close of work on Thursday, I can comfortably say that we have registered close to 1.6 million candidates for the examination.
“This year’s registration too can be adjudged as one of the best in recent times as it has been smooth, hitch and rancour-free.
“Having said this though, the board will like to warn that there may be no more extension of period of registration for candidates in our future examinations.
“This is because some mischievous persons may want to seize the opportunity of the lengthy period of registration to carry out infractions that could undermine the integrity of the examination.
“We are seriously considering reducing the registration period to about one month.
“We no longer want to give fraudsters the opportunity to deploy all kinds of tricks into the process.
“Imagine a situation whereby in a whole month, less than 10 per cent registered until when we started approaching the last lap of the exercise,’’ he said.

Mayweather flaunts his 10million Tenin table
Floyd Mayweather is a boxing champion and also a very rich man. He loves luxury and spends a lot of money on the most expensive things of life.
His latest collection being a $30,000 crystal glass tennis table, which is just about N10million in Nigerian currency.
The former five-weight world champion, who won all 50 of his professional contents, is widely considered the most gifted fighter of his generation.
And since announcing his retirement in the wake of victory over Conor McGregor last year, the 40-year-old has been putting his hands to good use elsewhere.
Mayweather took to Instagram to post a video of him enjoying a game of table tennis with his cousin Roy. He recently flaunted the $100million cheque he received for beating McGregor and was seen in the video having some fun with his $30,000 crystal glass ping pong table.
The short video showed Mayweather was no slouch with a bat in hand. But he could soon be putting his talents to better use in the Octagon.
